CIM regularly organises conferences and a colloquium with topics from the various research groups.
During the SS 2011, the “Interculturality” group will host the colloquium. Confirmed speakers include Prof. Dr. Jasmin Mahadevan (Pforzheim University), Brendan McSweeney (Royal Holloway University of London) and Sonja Sackmann (Universität der Bundeswehr München). In March, together with the “Hochschulverband Interkulturelle Studien e.V.” (University Association for Intercultural Studies), the group will also be holding a colloquium for Ph.D. students on the topic “Intercultural Communication”.
In early March we will be offering all DOK students an intra-CIM workshop on qualitative methods together with Dr. Jan Kruse (University of Freiburg).
Prof. Dr. Andreas Reckwitz (European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/O.) will be visiting in May to discuss the thesis projects of interested DOK students as a part of the of the “Subjectivity and Cultural Order” group.
The group will also be hosting the conference “Beyond Victimhood” on 11 November 2011.
The “Reflexive Practices of Organisation” group is planning the workshop “Visual Methods” in September 2011 and the workshop “ANT / Relational Materialism” during the winter of 2011/12.
