The PEF programme is designed to ensure that students gain advanced knowledge of key areas of Economics, Econometrics and Finance. The curriculum starts with intensive courses, followed by two years of advanced studies and own original research. State-of-the-art courses cover a broad range of topics including theoretical and empirical research methodology. Graduates are regularly selected for very reputable academic and non-academic positions.

An international programme
As a PEF student, you will experience an international environment with English being the exclusive programme language. Internationally established professors and distinguished visiting professors from renowed universities across Europe and the USA are teaching challenging courses. Moreover, you will benefit from our international research and partner network: University of Konstanz and the University of Frankfurt, Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) and the Universities in the NCCR-FINRISK research network. The Swiss National Science Foundation promotes the PEF.

Small classes ensure close contact to your lecturers and you benefit from experienced advice and close supervision by a research-oriented faculty.
